This is a variation of the fouth movement in CC12. (which i am keeping up... and changing to Op. 12... (along with CC13 becoming Op. 13.) i will name them as Op. from here on out. (See my trans agenda here?)
this is a weird description i know... however. I must include these as i know one thing is for certain... it is a historical piece.
The original variation for Op. 12 and Op. 13 were in the context of the christian variation to eschatology. This goes deep and i hope that there is no limit on how long this description can be.
Now if you can look at the date Op. 12 and 13 were, (Jan. 31, 2019 and June 20, 2019) respectively... HOLY CATS I AM A YEAR LATE!
Well, there goes that idea... anyway this is the variation of the fourth movement. There are several differences... the first you will notice that i have went more traditional for this one, rather than the miniscule doomwagon of a time when i wanted to write more contemporary... i still would like to. :D but in the levels of Penderecki... and perhaps Zorn.
What? this is avant-garde af. i mean there are so many levels to the original pieces that make it super deep and dark... and scary.
So what makes me justified in naming a genre as a namesake?
Originally, the only reason this was there was because i was selfish on the fact i came up with this specific intrumentation. I know for a fact it has not been done before me. So i shall pioneer it.
In order to do so. It would require a bunch of examples based on quality, not some insane plot to destroy the world... i mean i have had those thoughts. I am a goddess. read my shirt. :3
What let to my decision for this specific intrumentation?
Several Reasons. (one of which was a due to the fact i was smoking at the time... (i have quit 2 years ago, which was also when i had my first covid shot.)
The original was gonna be All the instruments i could have learned by the time i wrote it. Though instead of the Double Bass, it was a Trombone. However in this case, there is a lot of Pizzicato... probably to the point the bassist has ended up eroding their fingers due to the insanity involved.
The organ, harpsichord and piano are all keyboard instruments, which each can be learned by the same person, as there is little or nor variations to how they are played. (Bach on Piano anyone? Sorabji on Harpsichord... not what i mean...) They use our fingers in a similar manner as string instruments. Starting to connect a few things?
The vibraphone just seems really fun to improv on... :D i'd love a chance to play one. :3
If i know my instruments, then this would be quite a difficult piece to play... each instrument has it's own difficulty. (and they are equally difficult.)
The Vibraphone is kinda like the We are the World Song, but specifically the awkwardness of it all... i don't know how many of you can sense the awkwardness of their singing... i mean it was about as repititious as this piece is... when the cantabile motif say "it's a sad, sad world" by many instruments at different points. So that is how the vibraphone reverberates.
The Piano and Harpsichord are pretty much an epitomisation (is that spelt correctly?) of time travel. (which may be offputting when you first expect it.) Some may find it to be a bit tedius... at least if i had to play it... think of this as how i want you to play it. Reluctant yet inspired. There is a story behind this.
While i am a self-entitled maestra of the piano... i had a period of my life where i had no access to the piano, i used the idea of where Mozart stated "i have them all in my head." when refering to his compositions. So this openly prepares you for these things.
A lot of my work consists of what i've done in my mind. And just like if your phone or memory limitation device... ends up having a obligatory purging ceremony from those files of expressive content that has your affluences, humour, desires, ambitions, all wrapped inside... (a limit |
